British College of Legal Studies was established with an aim of providing high quality education for students who are unable to afford studying in UK Universities as well as to make them lawyers/ Attorneys-At-Law without having to face the very competitive Law entrance Exam.
BCLS is the Sri Lankan Branch Campus of the #1 Law School in Malaysia, Brick Fields Asia College who has produced over 100 world & National Top Students. Book Prize Winners, 1st Class and 2nd Uppers in the LLB (Hons) program, in the past 2 years now offers students to graduate right here in Sri Lanka or transfer to Malaysia or to UK for the final year.
Apart from the LLB Program , BCLS has gained popularity for offering Edexcel / Cambridge A/Level which is provided as a one year fast track course and is one of the very few institutes that provide A/L law as subject thus providing a stable platform for the student to embark on his/her way to become a lawyer. However, in addition we also offer other business subject combinations too so that the student can pursue a career in Business management or a relative field. We also offer a wide range of Diploma programs in affiliation with ILEX (Institute of legal Executives of UK), London School of Public relations as well as HND through EDEXCEL.
Mission
British College of Legal Studies was established with a vision to guide the students to obtain English Qualifying Law Degree at a reasonable cost affordable to the upper middle class people of Sri Lanka who dream of pursuing law as a career, providing the most experienced teachers with a blend of young and brilliant faculty members, implementing a refined method of teaching through lectures, tutorials, case studies ensuring student participation in mooting, debates, mock trials and other extra curricular activities, view students need as top priority and ensure students feel and consider the institution as their guide and not just a commercial enterprise.
