The Edexcel BTEC HND course is jointly developed by UK employers and Edexcel and is designed for those students who wish to develop real practical skills across a range of essential IT areas. The course will enable students to develop their IT analysis, design and development expertise to help solve realistic commercial problems. An HND will also benefit those already working in IT who want to gain a globally-recognised Edexcel BTEC skills-based qualification. The BTEC HND is equivalent to the second year of a University Degree . Many students go on after completing their HND to a one-year 'top-up' course to gain a BSc or BA in Computing, Business IT or related field.
